This Privacy Policy explains how BigiByte ("BigiByte", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit bigibyte.com, contact us, book a call, or work with us. It also explains the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
BigiByte is a data engineering and software studio that builds web scraping, automation, AI and SaaS solutions for businesses. Our office is at Flat 10B, House 30/32, Road 10, Uttara Sector 15/B (beside Uttara Center Metro Station), Dhaka, Bangladesh, and our registered address is 30 N Gould St Ste 35348, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
For personal information collected through this website and our sales and support activities, BigiByte is the controller. When we process personal information on behalf of a client as part of a project, we act as a processor (or service provider) and follow that client's instructions. See our Data Protection Policy for how we handle client data.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and company, when you fill in our contact form, email us, message us on WhatsApp or book a call.
- Project information: what you tell us about your project, budget, timelines and requirements.
- Booking details: the time you choose and any notes you add when you schedule a call through Cal.com.
- Billing details: billing name, address and payment references when you become a client. Card and bank details are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Communications: the content of emails, messages and call notes exchanged with us.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page and the pages you view, recorded in standard server and security logs by our hosting provider.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
Information from other sources
If you reach us through a freelance marketplace (such as Fiverr or Upwork) or a referral, we receive the information you or that source share with us, such as your name, username and project brief.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run our business, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only on our instructions:
- Vercel: website hosting and server logs.
- Cloudflare: image delivery and network security.
- Brevo: delivering messages sent through our contact form to our inbox.
- Cal.com: call scheduling.
- Email, file storage and project tools we use to communicate and deliver work.
- Payment processors and freelance marketplaces used to invoice and receive payment.
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, under duties of confidentiality.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honour this policy.
5. International transfers
BigiByte is based in the United States and our team works from several countries, including Bangladesh. Our service providers may process data in the United States, the European Union and other countries. When we transfer personal information out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision (including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified).
6. How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months after our last contact.
- Client and project records: for the length of the engagement and up to 7 years afterwards for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
- Server and security logs: typically up to 30 days, longer if needed to investigate an incident.
- Client project data processed on your behalf: as set out in our Data Protection Policy and your contract.
7. How we protect information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls and least-privilege access, multi-factor authentication on key accounts, separation of client environments, and confidentiality commitments from everyone on our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- delete your information;
- restrict or object to our processing, including for direct marketing;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent;
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@bigibyte.com. We will respond within the time required by law (usually 30 days, or 45 days under US state laws). We may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows.
California and other US state residents: in the last 12 months we collected the categories of information described in section 2 (identifiers, contact and commercial information, internet activity) for the purposes in section 3, and disclosed them to the service providers in section 4. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require an opt-out.
9. Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
Our website links to third-party sites such as LinkedIn, Medium, Cal.com and WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, let clients know directly.
